The festival is held at the Christian Valley Agricultural Station. The main aim of the Mango Festival was to promote the utilization of mangoes and other fruits as well as to support the rejuvenation of the station. Although the station boasts many fruit trees, the jewel in the crown is the collection of 25 elite mango varieties, including Trinidad’s “Julie”, Haiti’s “Madame Francisque”, Cuba’s “Piniero”, Asian “Num Mai Doc” and a score of Florida varieties.
The festival offers many activities and workshops, including:
Budding and grafting workshop
Tours of the nature trails
Film: Sweetest Mango

Book sale
Sales of fruits and plants
Sales of agro-processed products
Agro-processors competition

Leading up to the main event we held the Magic Mango Menu Culinary competition for professional hotel chefs and bartenders plus an event demonstrating cooking techniques using green mangoes. The Magic Mango Culinary Competition is an exciting event, with representatives from Antigua & Barbuda’s most prestigious resorts.
